  Nytt Land is a two-member formation from Kalachinsk, created by Anatoly Pakhalenko and Natalia Pakhalenko in 2013. Their performances are not simply concerts — they are rituals. We do not merely listen to their songs; through their music we are transported into the taiga, where we can almost see the shamans performing their rites, the harsh winter landscapes, and the wild animals surrounding us, allowing us to experience every moment of this ancient ritual. Their sound is simultaneously cold and hypnotic, all rooted in a deep and primordial atmosphere. The tour opened with three Polish dates.   I had the chance to spend 7 days with IVORY during the Ektomorf tour. They were already one of several support bands on the run. They arrived in Konstanz, and since I was the tour manager, it was my job to show them everything and go through all the important information with them. Every band grew close to me during the tour, but I can honestly say that none had the kind of impact on me—or on the audience—that these guys did. This interview was created for that very reason: after everything that happened on the tour, I truly felt they deserved to be heard by as many people as possible. I’ve never experienced anything like it—seeing a support band achieve this level of success.   On February 20, 2026 , Nytt Land (New Land) released their latest album, Aba Khan , via Napalm Records . This is the band’s 10th studio album to date. In the pagan–folk metal scene, many bands have emerged following the success of Wardruna , Dannheim , and Heilung . However, only a few have managed to achieve similar recognition. Nytt Land undoubtedly belongs to this select group. The duo, Natalya “Baba Yaga” Pakhalenko and Anatoly Pakhalenko from Kalachinsk, created a truly unique dark folk and shamanic production.
