Dimmu Borgir – Grand Serpent Rising – Back into Darkness

  On May 22, 2026, the Norwegian symphonic black metal giants Dimmu Borgir released their 10th studio album via Nuclear Blast. The producer was Fredrik Nordström, who has also been responsible for the sound of some of the band’s most iconic eras. It has been a long wait, as their previous album was released 8 years ago. That record did not fully convince me at the time, so for me the last truly great and fully relevant album remains Death Cult Armageddon , which, as we all know, dates back many years. This new release brings 13 tracks with a total runtime of 1 hour and 9 minutes, and for me it is finally a much more compelling and enjoyable album. There has been a significant lineup change in the Dimmu Borgir camp since the last album, as Galder, another long-standing member alongside Shagrath and Silenoz, has left the band. Nytt Land Ritual in Poland

  Nytt Land is a two-member formation from Kalachinsk, created by Anatoly Pakhalenko and Natalia Pakhalenko in 2013. Their performances are not simply concerts — they are rituals. We do not merely listen to their songs; through their music we are transported into the taiga, where we can almost see the shamans performing their rites, the harsh winter landscapes, and the wild animals surrounding us, allowing us to experience every moment of this ancient ritual. Their sound is simultaneously cold and hypnotic, all rooted in a deep and primordial atmosphere. The tour opened with three Polish dates. Organized by Gryf Events, they arrived in Białystok, Warsaw, and Rybnik. I managed to arrive in Białystok at the very last possible moment, only minutes before the concert began. INTERVIEW WITH THE IVORY BAND

  I had the chance to spend 7 days with IVORY during the Ektomorf tour. They were already one of several support bands on the run. They arrived in Konstanz, and since I was the tour manager, it was my job to show them everything and go through all the important information with them. Every band grew close to me during the tour, but I can honestly say that none had the kind of impact on me—or on the audience—that these guys did. This interview was created for that very reason: after everything that happened on the tour, I truly felt they deserved to be heard by as many people as possible. I’ve never experienced anything like it—seeing a support band achieve this level of success. I was also working the merch stand, and after their shows, by the time they made it back to their own merch table, there was already a crowd waiting for them.
